A rangefinder camera has a focusing mechanism that allows the photographer to measure the distance, and take photographs that are sharp in focus.
This is a diaphragm, which allows the photographer to control how much light enters through the aperture, and stop all other light from entering.
This photograph was taken by Sally Mann, and is one of my favorite pictures. I love her use of black and white in her portraits, and the emotions she is able to capture in her pictures.
Wayne Miller Photography
In all of these photographs I noticed that one of the invisible lines was consistently present vertical on the left side of the picture. I like Wayne Miller's photos because he mostly photographs people, and captures emotion and the feeling of his subjects very well.

Technical Captions
This photo was taken on a 50mm camera, using a film with low ISO. The light in this photo is natural.
This photo was taken with a 35mm camera, because the lens is narrower. The film would have a low ISO because the picture is dark in the places that have no light. The setting has both natural and artificial light.
This photo has a large depth of field, because the Empire State building is far away, yet can be seen clearly in the photograph
